TNC Driver Minimum Pay Standard
If you drive for a TNC company like Uber or Lyft and make stops in Seattle you have the right to earn a minimum rate of pay for each trip. This means:
You have the right to earn a minimum rate per trip of $1.38/mile + $0.59/minute, with a minimum payment of $5.17.
Payment for each trip must meet this minimum standard—and all tips are added on top of the minimum. You can be paid more than the minimum for a trip.

Pay rates will go up each year with cost of living.
The TNC Deactivation Ordinance gives you the right to appeal a deactivation, and allows you to seek support and representation from a newly created driver resolution center.
These rights apply to you even if the TNC company you work for treats you as an independent contractor.
