Hotel Employees in Seattle: Health & Safety Standards

If you work at a hotel in Seattle with more than 60 rooms:

You must have access to panic buttons and other protections against violence and harassment by hotel guests

Not be assigned to work in a room where the hotel guest has been reported for violent or harassing conduct

You must be allowed to keep your job when hotel management changes

If you work at a hotel in Seattle with more than 100 rooms:

Your employer must provide medical benefits or other compensation (with some exceptions)

Housekeepers must receive extra pay (at 3 times hourly rate) for cleaning more than 4,500 square feet per 8-hour shift
